This luau is held almost on the beach - the ocean view is perfect for the show, which is timed with the setting sun to provide a colorful natural background. And when the sun is down, there is an exciting fire knife dancer finale.

If you are staying in south Maui, this luau can save you an hour of driving time to the Kaanapali and Lahaina luaus.

Honua'ula (Return to the Sacred Lands) takes us back to a time when the mighty seafaring Polynesians discovered this land of Hawaii, thereafter calling themselves Hawaiian.
It touches upon the documented voyages of La'amaikahiki and Moikeha who first came to this sacred island we call Maui, specifically this area named Honua'ula.

It speaks of gods and goddesses that watched over these courageous people and how they were able to co-exist and live in harmony.
These stories combined create an exciting evening of traditional chant and hula bringing the history of our island home Maui, to life.

Premier seating is reserved and front rows seating.
• $96 for adults and teenagers ($106 for Premier seating
• $51 for children 6-12 years ($106 for Premier seating
• One free infant (5 and under) per paying adult (for the Premier seating, infants are not free - they are $50 each!)

Wailea Marriott Maui Luau Honua'ula (Return to the Sacred Lands)

Schedule. The Wailea Marriott Luau is scheduled four evenings each week - Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The luau opens at 5PM and ends around 8PM.
• 5PM Hawaiian style music and village with Hawaiian games, lei making, crafts & tatoo's
• 6PM Lighting of the torches and the sound of a conch shell announces start of luau buffet
• 7PM Luau Show until 8PM

Honua'ula (Return to the Sacred Lands) is held at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort at the base of Haleakala along Maui's southern coast.
