Maui Tours
Why spend money for a Maui tour?
• You can focus on your Maui activity because someone else is driving or flying or sailing.
• You don't have enough time to plan your Maui vacation activity.
• You can rent a car, but you can't rent vehicles like helicopters or submarines or racing yachts.
• Personalized Maui tours can take you to places that you wouldn't find on your own.
Maui Ground Tours
A road to Hana tour lets you focus on the ocean views, waterfalls and beaches rather than trying to keep from driving off a cliff. Road to Hana van tours pick you up early at your hotel, and take care of meals and selecting the best road to Hana stops.
A Maui volcano tour lets you enjoy the view while your bus driver navigates the winding roads to the Haleakala summit. You can also ride on horseback down into the crater, or ride a bicyle down the side of the Maui volcano.
Maui Ocean Tours
A Maui submarine tour on the Atlantis from Lahaina Harbor is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to ride in a real submarine in a real ocean and look at real tropical fish and the sunken ship Carthaginian.
Maui sailing tours on sailing catamarans and racing yachts such as America II and Scotch Mist may also sail to Lanai or Molokai islands. Sailing tours can be combined with other activities such as snorkeling or whale watching.
Maui snorkeling tours are the most popular ocean tour on Maui. Destinations include Maui beaches such as Honolua Bay Marine Preserve, areas where Hawaiian green turtles congregate, and the islands of Molokini and Lanai.
Maui Whale watching tours let you observe humpback whales in the warm shallow waters on the leeward west side of Maui. Just about every ocean tour includes whale watching from December through May.
Maui Air Tours
A Maui helicopter tour will take you on an aerial adventure of Maui, including a birds eye view of destinations such the Maui volcano Haleakala, the road to Hana, and the short trip across the ocean to the nearby islands of Molokai and Lanai. Many Maui waterfalls can only be viewed from a helicopter tour.
Maui Tour Reservations & Tickets
If you want to get a different perspective on Maui tours, to view exact pricing, or perhaps reserve a tour,
click here to go to the Barefoot Tours website.
Locate the Maui island picture on their website, (like the graphic on the right). Then click on the Maui Categories drop down list.
Then from the Maui Categories drop down list (like the long list to the right), select any type of tour that you are interested in - such as submarine tours, snorkeling tours, hiking tours, sailing charters, whale watching tours or helicopter flights.
While most websites restrict your choices to a few tours that they represent, Barefoot Tours offers hundreds of Maui tours for your review and decision.
Even if you are on Maui or Hawaii now, they can get your tickets to you by email, fax, mail, or even delivered to the Maui tour operator for last minute ticket reservations.
Tell them Randy Willis sent you and recommended that you ask about their low price guarantee.
Maui Bike Tour
Be wary of Maui bike tours on the winding road down the side of Haleakala. This road is also used by all cars and buses going to the volcano summit.
Several recent fatal accidents for bike riders have resulted in the temporary suspension of guided bike tours.
Maui Walking Tours
Okay, I just included this because it has the word tour in the title. But I also like another word - free - Lahaina walking tour which is now part of the Lahaina Historic Trail.
This is a self guided tour where you follow a route of Maui historic sites such as Banyan Tree Park, the old Lahaina Lighthouse, Wo Hing Chinese Museum, Baldwin Missionary home, and the Masters Reading Room.
Several of these sites are maintained by the Lahaina Restoration Foundation.
Roberts Hawaii Tours
A large operator for many tours is Roberts Hawaii - you will see their tour buses all over Maui.
When Hawaii cruise ships port at Lahaina, Roberts Hawaii buses will line up at Lahaina Harbor to transport cruise ship passengers around Maui.
The big buses also somehow navigate the winding road to the summit of the Haleakala volcano.
