Maui Surfing Lessons
Are Maui surfing lessons worth the money? We decided to try a beginners class after watching some big wave surfers at the world famous Jaws on the Maui's north shore.
But we needed smaller waves - maybe a couple feet high at the most. And Maui is loaded with surfing schools. We chose a surfing class close to our hotel. Lahaina Harbor is one of several good Maui locations for surfing lessons. There is a consistent and small wave there, and the beach is easy to access. And here's what I liked - the surfing academy guaranteed that you will ride a wave in your two hour lesson, or the lesson is free.
But we had to pay full price because both girls rode a wave during their first lesson. And we decided the lessons were worth the money.
