Our Lahaina Restaurant Reviews
Our Lahaina restaurant reviews let you check out eateries in advance to verify they match your expectations and budget.
We also describe groups such as romantic Lahaina restaurants, Lahaina fast food restaurants, and Lahaina breakfast restaurants.
For a geographic perspective, view our Lahaina Restaurants map page.
You are almost sitting at the table when you peruse our Lahaina Restaurant menus.
Lahaina Store Grille & Oyster Bar
We like the varied food, attentive service, window ocean views, and - a rarity for this area - dining privacy at the new Lahaina Store Grille and Oyster Bar.
We put up with sitting on the second floor, which has a more intimate atmosphere and better pricing for the same dishes than the third floor open-air rooftop deck with first rate dining and sunset views - we'll try that when we can go without the kids.

Cheeseburger in Paradise
We like the reasonable prices, sunset ocean view, and live entertainment upstairs on most evenings.
We put up with the sunset busy period: long wait times (20-30 minutes) and rushed service.

Hecocks
We like the ocean view, open air, lack of crowds, leisurely breakfast, and low pricing. This is our favorite restaurant for breakfast.
We put up with low key breakfast service from waitpersons.

Hecocks review.
Penne Pasta Cafe
The Penne Pasta Cafe is related to another of our favorite restaurants, Mala Ocean Tavern, and Maui Tacos - and they all share a nice combination of casual atmosphere, exotic food, and reasonable pricing. Read more at our
Penne Pasta Cafe review and view their menu.
Lahaina Fast Food Restaurants
Need some fast food from familiar chains such as McDonalds, Burger King and Subway? Want to try some local fast food eateries such as Kahuna Kabobs, Maui Tacos and Aloha Mixed Plate?
Find their Lahaina locations at
Lahaina Fast Food Restaurants.
Hard Rock Cafe
WE LIKE the tables facing Front Street, high energy level, loud rock music, rock memorabilia hanging on walls, extravagant desserts.
WE PUT UP WITH indifferent wait persons, indifferently prepared food for the price.

Hard Rock Cafe review and view their menu.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Company
We like the ocean view, medium prices, varied menu (including seafood and kid options), friendly waitpersons (if not busy periods), and lots of activities (including a Bubba Gump shop you can browse).
We put up with evening busy period: long wait times (20+ minutes) and rushed service (service is much better during the day).

Bubba Gump Shrimp Company review.
Mala Ocean Tavern
A new favorite for us near Mala wharf, this north Lahaina restaurant in Maui offers gourmet food in a casual ocean side setting. From their menu: small plates, organic whenever possible, whole grains, no preservatives, no hydrogenated oils and everything in proportion. Read more about our this cafe at
Mala Ocean Tavern review and view their menu.
Romantic Lahaina Restaurants
Romantic Lahaina Restaurants have the perfect atmosphere and sunsets for romantic dinners.
Rekindle the BK (Before Kids) flame with romantic Lahaina restaurants such as Kimo's, Lahaina Grill and Gerard's.
BJ's Chicago Pizzeria
Deep disch pizza on Maui? You get BJ's Chicago Pizzeria when you combine the best pizza in Lahaina (or even Maui or Hawaii?) with an ocean view balcony and live entertainment in the evenings.

BJ's Chicago Pizzeria review and view their Lahaina pizza menu.
Moose McGillycuddys
Think of Moose McGillycuddys as a bar that serves food, rather than a restaurant, and you won't be disappointed. But breakfast from the second floor window tables over Front Street is a popular option.

Aloha Mixed Plate
Just north of Lahaina (on the way to Mala Ocean Tavern), Aloha Mixed Plate at 1285 Front Street is the common man's plate lunch restaurant.
Combine lots of outdoor seating, a daily special, and inexpensive prices, and we found a great place to drop in for lunch.
This is operated by the same group that puts on the Old Lahaina Luau.
According to the New York Times newspaper, Aloha Mixed Plate is ...where paper plate meets million dollar view.
